I cry everyday about escaping corporate medicine. Tired of being a drug dealer and peddling poison while I REFUSE to ever use the product.
You weren’t born to fit in. You were born to stand out. You don’t fit in with them because you fit in with us. Beautiful story. Bless you and thank you. ❤❤❤
Thank god you have emotional and intellectual integrity I respect you, very much!!!
You didn’t fail. You refused to conform. I applaud you. This is extremely difficult for us to do in healthcare. I struggled with this for years in medicine too. The frustration was already peaking (after I too went to Haiti - 2018), and that frustration went off the cliff when the pandemic started. I also suddenly had no choice. How could I leave? I couldn’t. I had no other choice than to stay. Since then, I too decided to open my own practice. But, I dragged my feet. The pandemic showed me how difficult it would be to find a job, and how fragile my license was if I didn’t conform and agree. Not only did I drag my feet out of fear, but because of the ridicule we face from colleagues. So, I found a practice that I aligned with. I felt safe. And, I felt like I could finally do my job. All seemed well….. until they too sold to corporate medicine. So, here I am, with walls closing in on us in mainstream medicine, back on my path to opening my own practice. I’m scared, but also excited, that I’ll be free and have my own practice open and ready to actually do real medicine… in only - few short weeks.

I loved this video. As a nurse of 32 years, I totally get where you are coming from. You can no longer trust the system you work in. Medicine is nothing more than big business now. The physicians still working in it can’t care, if any of us stands up against them, we lose our jobs.
As an old critical care nurse, 44 years in trenches, I want to offer my respect and support to you. Everyone "in" the system, who's willing to "see", is aware of the massive problems and breakdown within the system. I honor your heart, courage and integrity!
You and Dr Suneel Dehand are saying the same thing. You are not alone.
