Heartbreaking. He asked for help. 💔 I admire the open communication the father & son had.

So many of us have known or loved someone from the military who took their own life after returning home. I applaud Mr. Larkin for bringing this to the forefront.

Veteran here. This breaks my heart. I suffer ptsd, as do legions of veterans before and after me. God bless this father son duo, and may he rest in peace. 😢

As someone who lost a brother to suicide, I truly feel this father's pain. Once someone becomes despondent and fixes their mind to suicide, there's little you can do to help.

My husband served for 21 years. 4 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan all tours above 12 months. One was 15, then he was a trainer that included blasts daily from grenades. He was a loving, calm and thoughtful person before the war, now he’s different. I always thought it was just psychological, but it could be physical! We need to do more for these people!

He was my neighbor growing up in Jersey. Remember when his Dad Frank came home from 9/11 with dust all over his car. Neighbors offered to wash it, but he reminded them that those are human ashes. My mother picked up Ryan and his sister from school that day. I believe that day along with his father Frank being a SEAL made a decision to serve his country. RIP Ryan
