Extremely underrated film. One of my favorites and nobody reacts to it. Looking forward to this one. Thanks ladies!
17:20 - They actually explain why he threw his hat out the window in the feature length commentary on the DVDs Special Features. It’s something that firefighters do when they know that they’re f**ked. It signals the other firefighters that “This is where I am and I’m in trouble. If you can get to me safely, do it. If not, please don’t try. I don’t want to take the rest of the team with me.”
This movie is criminally underrated.
This movie has a special place for me. When I first saw this, my dad was a retired police officer from the Kansas City PD. I had moved to a rural area, and served as a firefighter for our local district. I was, and still am, an amateur radio operator. Just the opposite of the movie. After we lost dad in 2003, the scenes of Frank and Chief talking, just tore me up. It took about four years before I could watch it again. Thank you for doing this reaction. 73
The son saved his father twice, from the fire and from smoking. And at the end the father saved his son, what a great story and movie.
What blew my mind was how father and son was fighting the same adversary at the same time 30 years apart. Great reaction. Thank you! This is like a time travel movie, but not.😊
Favorite line of this movie-"You went down thirty years ago, you just don't know it yet"
I have no idea why, but whenever Carly joins in, it feel like the sun is on my back. Such warmth.
Oh em gee. One of THE MOST underrated movies. Have fun
My dad was a firefighter for 32 years, calls me "Chief" because of this film. Its and all time favorite in my house hold.
