I don’t care about who makes 300k, I care about who makes 300 million

Saagar who gets paid more than an anthesiologist for having opinions that are not life or death, tells doctors they are overpaid.

As an anesthesiologist, you have no idea what you’re talking about, Saagar. No anesthesiologist is keeping a patient under anesthesia longer to bill more. They want to get in and out of the OR as quickly as possible because there are likely more patients booked to follow that case and the sooner all the cases are done, the sooner they get to go home. The length of cases are dictated by the surgeons, not the anesthesiologists, and surgeon skill is primarily what causes variation in case length (and therefore, anesthesia time) for a given procedure.

Saagar white knighting for insurance companies by saying doctors are overpaid is actually unreal. That’s the insurance company line.

I'm a doctor and I am deeply offended and shocked as to how Saagar thinks doctors are overpaid. We spend so much of our youth in training, working insane hours with very little pay during training, and most of us don't earn our first paycheck until our early 30s. Medical school costs are mostly outrageous so most of us have school loans to pay off AFTER entering the work force late in life. AND, after entering the workforce, we work mostly INSANE hours and take on a TON OF RISK. Anesthesiology in particular is a HIGH RISK field of medicine. The malpractice insurance is VERY expensive. PLUS, they keep you alive during surgery. Saagar has completely lost my respect. He endorses all sorts of people in positions of power making shit tons of money...like in the millions, and he begrudges doctors? Are you kidding me??? You need to check yourself Saagar. You have declared yourself as completely uninformed and uneducated. Please take the time to learn about what anesthesiology and other fields of medicine entail before you shit on the very people who take care of you when you need it.

To title a 17 minute video based on one sentence of Bill Burr is a wild clickbait activity

The fact that some foreigner (CEO) is the person most benefiting from UHC exploiting the US healthcare industry somehow makes it feel even worse.

My wife is a PT. She tells me how often her patients get denied coverage that desperately need it. It’s crazy how gross these people are getting sad about mean tweets. The insurance wants patients to appeal their denial to show “they really want the care” fucking nuts

Any Anesthesiologist who leaves a patient asleep longer than necessary would have the surgeons all over their ass for wasting OR time. It’s laughable to think that it would somehow make them more money. Sagaar is way out of his depth here.
