More and more people are developing cataracts as they age. Typical treatments for cataracts have side effects, so today we’re going to talk about natural alternatives for cataracts. The eyes are highly affected by your blood sugar levels. When your blood sugar is high, it creates a lot of oxidative stress in different tissues, including the eyes. Our bodies produce antioxidants to protect against this oxidation and free radical damage. But certain things, like age and diet, can cause our bodies to make fewer antioxidants. However, plants also make potent antioxidants that we can take advantage of to help counter the effects of oxidative stress. The two categories that we’re focusing on today are carotenoids and anthocyanins. Foods high in carotenoids: • Yellow, orange, red, and purple vegetables • Pasture-raised egg yolks • Grass-fed meats Foods high in anthocyanins: • Bilberries • Blueberries • Blackberries • Chokeberries • Black currant • Red cabbage Here is the best natural remedy to potentially help with cataracts. Ingredients: • 1 cup berries • 1 cup kefir (grass-fed, whole milk, unsweetened) Blend the above two ingredients, using any of the above berries you like best. Use water to thin the mixture if needed, or consume with a spoon. Have this once a day. Along with this remedy, make sure your diet is very low in fructose, sucrose, and milk. Other natural remedies for cataracts: 1. NAC drops (N-acetylcarnosine) 2. Egg yolks 3. I was told 4 years ago that I had the beginnings of a cataract in one of my eyes. Because of a change in insurance I ended up going to a different eye doctor a few months ago. After the exam I asked her if she saw any sign of a cataract. She said she hadn't. I told her that I had eliminated a lot of sugar out of my diet. She kind of brushed it off as being a non factor and implied that the other doctor might not have really been seeing what he saw. I know it's not definitive, but I think cutting out the sugar was a benefit. Also, I have my own chickens that I allow to free range.

Thank you Dr Berg. Years ago an elderly lady recommended to me that having blueberries daily would get rid of floaters. For a few months I had a blueberry milkshake daily for breakfast. Just a cup of milk and 2/3 cup of frozen blueberries, not only did my floaters disappear, but I found I was wearing my glasses less and less. My family commented on how clear and bright my eyes had become. I still have blue berry milk shakes a few mornings a week.

I had a tumour in my lacrimal gland. I requested they remove the gland. They refused “that’s not how we deal with this”. The oncologist told me radiation was perfectly safe! Well it wasn’t. Radiation melted my teeth, shrunk my throat, killed my thyroid, caused cataracts, but worse of all was the nerve damage Trigeminal ganglion melted I suffer electrocutions. I had cancer side lens implant and the retina bled. Now cataract is slowly closing over my right pupil. My life was destroyed. I would have been far better off if they had removed the lacrimal and I would have had dry eye syndrome. Modern medicine is killing people.
