Had you heard of XTC before this video?
XTC were my favourite band from my childhood. "Senses Working Overtime" is a top tier 80s song.
XTC was a genius band that deserved a lot more than they got. Most underrated band ever? Probably. I know that when I picked up Drums And Wires back in '79, it took me some time to appreciate their eccentricity. Once I did, I came to love them. In particular, I thought English Settlement was some of the most brilliant pop music ever made. Glad I found them.
Andy didn't take Valium to deal with the stress. It was prescribed to him when he was 13...he had no idea he was addicted until he went cold turkey in 1982..the withdrawal is what affected him and caused him to stop touring.

Great call. I think Colin Moulding is a criminally underrated bassist. What about a video on the Jam (or just Paul Weller’s career, addressing the Jam as well as Style Council)?
