Spot on. I have ADHD foor some reason, and I've realized that 90% of the time if I think I'm "bored" I'm actually just terribly overwhelmed.
Thank you for this! Although I have never had my kids know how to read before kindergarten I am looking forward to my 2 youngest reading by kindergarten. You are on point about teaching them to be able to follow directions before Kinder! I respect you so much because you tell it like it is! And it's all FACTS! Thanks for all you do!
My son gets upset when teachers or myself repeat things to him that he already knows when he doesn't answer. He tells us that he already knows it. And it's true-we know because if we leave him sometimes he blows through it in 30 seconds. So frustrating.
