I discovered your channel almost 3 years ago, in the first month of me getting sober off of fentynal and meth. During the first year of sobriety watching your videos, and gardening along with you was the only thing that helped me get through the day. You helped me find a true passion of mine, helped me get through my own depression, and helped distract me from everything going on in my head/life at the time. You are the reason I started gardening! I just wanted to let you know how much you helped me, and I appreciate you opening up about your struggles with mental health. You inspired me, as I'm sure you've done for many others. Thank you for being here.

Eric, My life has been nothing but loss. I’m 33, treatment resistant depression and CPTSD. When I found your videos I was ready to give up on life. Then I moved into a house with a yard, I started getting your videos in my feed. I built a couple small boxes and I used your videos to learn. I now have a huge backyard garden that makes me feel alive. There is no other place in the world that makes me feel home like my garden. The more I grew the less I spent my time feeling hopeless. Gardening taught me patience, hard work and that it’s OK to fail even if you spend a lot of time on something. I started taking proactive steps to take care of myself and my health. I can say very clearly that if it wasn’t for you and other YouTube gardeners to inspire me to have the garden I always wanted, I wouldn’t be here today. Please take care of yourself.

Kevin, I lost my 14 year old son in 2023 to suicide; thank you for using your platform to talk about mental health. It breaks my heart to hear your struggles, I’m so grateful you are still here and taking steps towards healing. I often wonder how Chase would look as an adult, you kinda look like the adult version of what he might have looked like. I ache everyday for my Chase and wish I could have given him a tiny bit of hope to hold on. I pray that you find that tiny bit of hope. Thank you for your gardening content, being in my garden brings me so much peace…I love seeing things grow and flourish. I am able to enjoy the quiet thoughts, time for prayer and feeling closer to Chase while I am tending to my garden. Take care.
