Home grown melons will ruin your understanding of what a good melon is, store bought and even farmers market melons pale in comparison.
I just hand pollinated melons, pumpkins, and squash this morning! I grow my melons and pumpkins in ground in the greenhouse so it's warm enough for long enough in Seattle. It's a crazy jungle by the end of the season.
I’m so happy to hear you recommend planting zinnias with them I planted pink and green zinnias & cosmos with my sugar bush baby for fun and pollination and now I feel reassured! 😅
I had a friend who got volunteer melons on their compost pile every spring ! They grew like crazy there !
Kevin's lookin' good! like the clean haircut
We call it an "arranged marriage" when we artificially pollinate. 😂
I had to hand pollinate my white zucchini this morning....I have been seeing blossom end rot, so I fertilized a couple days ago and hand pollinated today! Thanks so much for all the information, I wouldn't have know what to do without you Eric...I mean Kevin! 🤣😉
Thank you for speaking specifically about watering. NO ONE ever explains this. This is such a vital part to successfully growing sweet melons. Hopefully someone will donate an entire video to fertilizing and watering.
We live in Missouri which means we have temps in the 80s and then later that day we have snow. I'm not kidding. Gardener's honor.
I think I clicked on the wrong video, I thought this would take me from an A cup to a D cup.
