This is not a theory, based upon strong evidence. This is an idea that certainly doesn’t undo the current understanding of things.
It depends on how you define "collapse". Even if the downfall was a bit slower and messier than that was outlined I think it's a bit of a stretch to claim there was no collapse at all.
No mention of the Myceneans, Egypt centrist, and says nothing of the destruction of those

What a useful interview this was. A lot of it was like seeing a catch up on peer review. It's bad enough that old textbooks preserve out-of-date ideas, the state of popular knowledge on the Bronze Age collapse is as hopelessly wrong as that peppermint factoid.
