The last story just describe a normal cat, not even a misbehaving cat. She can’t blame it for what it is doing. She as a owner needs to take responsibilty.

The fact that the second OP couldn’t fathom the possibility that his still maturing daughter could change her mind or grow new interests and goals is wild, and him not knowing any of this, her academics, her accomplishments, her goals, speaks volumes as to how absent he’s been in her life and in the things that matter. I don’t blame the daughter if she wants to take an indefinite break from him.
