I've run some naive n-body simulations of my own, and there's always a lot of objects ejected from clusters at high velocities... Also to think about a planet surviving its host being slingshot by another star isn't so far-fetched, the sphere of influence for the star just shrinks so we should expect only planets in tighter orbits to remain.
