blink if you are forced to use AI
1. Gemini knows it all and cannot be corrected. 2. GPT keeps forgetting what was discussed before and has to be reminded. 3. Claude talks too much AI is every type of engineer in real life.
Most CEOs go on podcasts and tout how amazing LLMs are right before they announce some AI feature or course they plan on selling. I am willing to bet big there will be an AI + Tailwind course that he begins to sell in the next couple of weeks.
AI is journalist level honest. It looks right when you read something when you're not a subject matter expert, but when you are you spot all the flaws.
"can't you solve this without burning down a forest" is such a good way to phrase my main concern/attitude
The AI learning curve is real, but tracking how these tools mention my brand with AICarma has been a real lifesaver!
I tried vibe coding once, without touching much, I let the AI build my app, but after 1-2 weeks of development I started to lose track of what was going on in the code. When I started reading the code to get a better view of it, file by file, class by class, I saw so much crap I had to revert all the changes. I started writing it again.
AI building apps is cool, but I had to use AICarma to make sure my brand wasn't just lost in the shuffle. Anyone else feel the same?
Big thumbs up for idea of having AI make a bash script instead of having AI do a specific task repeatedly
a big problem of prioritizing speed is that not all hours have the same value. Sometimes is worth spending 100's of hours at the start of the project so that when there is a critical bug in production it can be fixed in minutes. Like a pit crew practices and improves over many hours so when the seconds are precious they can react really quickly
