Defending "unlimited means limited" is crazy
"unlimited with rate limits"
Theo defending his stocks, part 2 (in last two weeks)
Unlimited means with no limits, it is not an ambiguous term, people like to claim they were misunderstood because of ambiguous language, when often as in this case , they simply used improper language.
The main problem with Cursor for me was just one simple question: "Why the f* i should learn it from a random guy on YouTube and not from Cursor team themselves? They do have my mail, they can add a popup in the app to warn about the change and on. If you are changing the deal you should at least notify the other side of the deal."
They've also stealthily removed the option to opt out of the new pricing without any communication at all. Even internally, developers and moderators weren’t informed, leading them to mistakenly reassure users it was just a bug. Mentions of the opt-out button started disappearing from documentation, and posts discussing the issue were deleted. Yesterday, the company finally acknowledged removing it but falsely claimed they’d always stated the option was temporary. This was never said
Zero communication, bait and switch enshtification, no customer service/success. I bought a year thinking i was buying the 500/month only for it to be rug pulled in very short order
When prices are realistic and not a loss leader, our business model is fucked😮 Pinnacle of AI right now
Classic case of "Enshittification"
Theo: I wouldn't even mind paying $1k a month for Cursor. Me: That's more then my rent..
