Absolutely riveting. My late mother was a school nurse. One of her mass efforts was to get everyone to wash their hands more frequently to slow the spread of communicable diseases. Public Health depends on such small, well-timed efforts of sanitation. Thank you, this was a great presentation. ❤
Great episode and guest! I am flabbergasted about the woman who was working on mrna. She saved so many lives. She got the noble and deserved it but she also deserves to be honored by the world!
I am recovering from Retina surgery that was not available 15 years ago. I did not get Polio due to a "sugar cube" of prevention. Many errors and mistakes led to these "miracles". YEAH SCIENCE!
Excellent show. One thing science needs to find a cure for... the majority impulse to avoid change.
Love that Gary Oreilly
It's absolutely f***ing wild that doctors were not used to washing their hands with absolutely nothing, not even plain soap or water after doing autopsies all day and would go straight into delivering babies!
I actually did a little research progress on the hand washing guy. It all started with a book called The Digital Delusion which argued you can't persuade people with just statistics. It left out all this context about him being socially rough around the edges. Man.. so unfortunate.
What a wonderful interviewee
This still happens to this day. It's just that history hasn't proven them right yet.
Excellent discussion, congrats All!
