Thank you professor Jiang for these semesters. Grateful for your generousity, humour, and style of teaching. I've enjoyed it very much and look forward to the next 50 years. Also, I will keep on reading books, take long walks in nature, and have weekly conversations with people.

I very much agree with the point about the lights going out. My neighbours don’t really talk but when there was a flood on our building, we became an efficient task force to help firefighters narrow down the source. Proud of how we all locked in when the situation demanded it.

Thank you for being better than almost everyone that post on social media. You are the first legitimate person I have seen on this platform since 2011.

The prof arrived on my YouTube feed over a year ago and he has been fascinating because he is so well read and is prepared to use that with creativity in order to explore possibilities. He verbalizes and runs with many ideas that have floated about in my consciousness for several years., to the extent that it almost feels as if I have manifested him ! I just hope that he is not just another distraction sent out by the manipulators in the back of that cave😊

The only channel I really visit YouTube for is yours, professor. Watched all lectures starting civilization. I thought I knew history above average but you showed perspectives I never deemed possible. Now I observe the world in a way I couldn’t have imagined and I’m very thankful. I thought I’m not a poetry man and never liked reading or reciting poetry. I thought that Homer and Dante is hard and tedious, but I’ve read the Iliad within 3 weeks straight after Divine Comedy. Doing Odyssey now. I can’t mention anyone else who has changed my world view and perspective so much and pulled me towards light and personal eudaimonia like you did.
