The fact that she bragged about cutting the number of floors in an apartment complex from six to three while increasing the number of parking lots is one thing, I'm far past being shocked by the wack ideology of politicians. What amazes me though is the fact that she didn't seem to realize what she was admitting to when she openly said that, she seemed to have no idea of the kind of anger and frustration it would incite, she's just THAT incompetent.
According to bots, this video has ice cream and cats. You better not disappoint me, Majority Report.
We unironically need fifteen minute cities.
Her office looks larger than these shacks.
Those tiny homes are amazing! Who doesn't dream of living in a double-wide outhouse?
Those are *NOT* "tiny homes". I am very supportive OF Tiny Homes but Tiny Homes *have a bathroom and a shower and a kitchen* often they are done loft style with the bed above the main/living area. They are cramped but LIVABLE for one person or a couple. In Salt Lake City they built a bunch of PROPER tiny homes and put everyone in them off the street; they gave them 1 year free and helped them get phones and social services and new clothes, and at the end of the year they can either start paying a small rent, do a lease-purchase agreement, or buy outright for like thirty or forty-- and there are people who are *ABLE TO DO THAT* a VAST MAJORITY of the people are stable by the end of that one year of modest free housing. They have a proper neighborhood of course not a PARKING LOT. Disgusting. A boondoggle for scumbags. When a VERY RED state has ALREADY shown that if you just give people BASIC, PROPER housing you *SAVE MONEY* AND help those people escape from poverty such that thirty or forty percent of them move out and those that don't pay for you to build more. There is NO REASON for anyone to be on the street except that evil people *WISH it so*. These things aren't even pool sheds let alone 'homes'. Sick sick people.
The entire premise of this video is inaccurate. The LA city council member was the ANTI-Abundance perspective in the debate.
Only time I've ever slammed the door in someone's face was when a NIMBY tool tried to get me to help them oppose low cost housing being built in my area. Them: "The city is trying to build this low-cost unit nearby. Our property values-" Me: "Good" SLAM.
Those tiny homes feel unbelievably patronizing.
This woman is completely oblivious to the fact that she is, in fact, The Problem.
