The internet cost our boy his life at 13 years old. Stupidly allowed him to have devices and do online gaming. We weaned him off, however one stupid fucking dare got him. Some sick POS had come up with the ligature challenge. Which our boy tried and didn't survive. Keep your kids off of the internet. Period. There are no excuses. None. Nada. You don't want to be us. Burying your kid is an absolutely fucked experience. Get your kids off of devices and internet. It's that simple.
In my post doctoral residency I worked with children who were sexually abused. What parents do not understand is that their children “feel safe” because they are in their own home or room. Parents having that laptop open and on in front of your child is like leaving your house front door open and your children standing there just waiting for the predator to welcome them in! DO NOT ALLOW THEM ON THE COMPUTER BY THEMSELVES
This is just the tip of the iceberg. . . Trust me.
My Mom constantly said, ANYTHING you do, come to me, we'll work it out together! If you LIE, to me, I can't help you! Even my friends, confessed to my Mom, because she was so non-judgmental & NOT puniative! Most of my discipline was fighting with my siblings or lying!
This man is 100% SPOT ON!!!! Your children need to know they can tell you (parents) ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU LOVE THEM UNCONDITIONALLY
