it always goes back to the beatles man, always
I love listening to someone talk about what they’re passionate about.
Song starts in 4/4 then one bar of 5/4 before going into 3/4 for the solo. "Mother superior jumped the gun" section it switches back and forth from 9/8 to 10/8 and then the chorus at the end is in 4/4 apart from the "when I hold you in my arms" part which is a polyrhythm where everyone is playing 3/4 apart from Ringo who sticks to 4/4. Goes round a few times until it syncs up again and they all jump back to 4/4. The craziest part is Lennon had no idea he was doing this.
This description is 1000% right. One of the coolest Beatles songs, with curves you couldn't anticipate. Loved it forever
I love listening to someone break down the way a song is composed. Rick Beato does a great job of it too
All roads lead back to the Beatles.😁👍👍
the whole album is a listening trip....unmatched...
There are quite a few really amazing bands that I absolutely love their music .... and then there's the Beatles ...
George and Paul’s favorite White Album song Happiness is a Warm Gun. A revolutionary Lennon masterpiece that predated the medley
It's a masterpiece, no discussion needed...
