Beef - The Evolving Nature of Relationships

This video essay analyzes the way Beef Season 2 conveys relationships. Relationships change over time, no two people stay the same so no relationship stays the same either. But Beef finds clever ways of conveying these problems by comparing two couples working in the same country club, fifteen years apart. Austin and Ashley may think their relationship is perfect but that's because it's only beginning. Lindsey and Josh have been through so many ups and downs that their relationship is more established, for better and worse. Beef (owned by Netflix) displays different types of relationships and how they handle pressure. Should these couples stay together when facing money problems, when their loyalty is tested, or when their traumas resurface again and again?
