Housing as an investment is so ridiculous. Why does its value go up when year after year, it gets worse after it’s been built? The government should be building houses, employing people to build houses, and selling or renting them at a reasonable price.

Texas may be growing fast, but it’s not a great model to follow. Cities outgrowing water supplies, sprawling suburbia fueling climate change, and the cost of living in the cities is not as low as advertised. There’s no state income tax, but they get their money from property taxes. Don’t even get started on services, voter rights, or women’s rights.

How about we rebrand on a foundation of effective government, responsible AI, science based long term planning, proper taxes on the rich and corporations, big money out of politics… as well as top notch education, healthcare, and food for ALL kids in America.
