Stock up on Sardines now BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE
The Sardine Challenge: Origins, Metabolic Impact, and Debunking Myths
Discover why a three-day sardine-only fast can drastically improve metabolic markers like glucose and ketones, and learn how this simple food challenges long-held conventional dietary advice.
Short Summary
- Implemented a 72-hour sardine challenge resulting in immediate, measurable metabolic improvements across groups of patients.
- The practice was originated by Dr. Dom Diagastino in 2015 as an emergency ketogenic "bailout" strategy for times of high stress.
- Data suggests the sardine fast produces superior metabolic results compared to a pure water fast, potentially promoting mitochondrial replacement.
- Provides direct rebuttals to common criticisms regarding fiber necessity, electrolyte risk, and heavy metal contamination in sardines.
This session details the evolution of the sardine protocol, from an anecdotal tip shared by Dom Diagastino to a structured, data-backed component of Dr. Boz's 21-Day Metabolic Kick. You will gain insight into why this nutrient-dense, ultra-low-carb protocol acts as a powerful tool for rapidly improving insulin sensitivity and overall cellular health.

My 1st can of sardines was 8 months ago (I'm 51 yrs old 🤣). I heated them up, DO NOT DO THIS‼️ 🙅🏾♀️🤢. I usually have them like tuna salad (boiled egg, a little mayo and mustard) 5 days a week then 2 day water fast. Started at 232 lbs now at 167 lbs. GKI has been 2.9 for 2 months 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
I had my first can of sardines two weeks ago because of you. I mashed them up and added mayo, then stood over them in my kitchen for about 30 minutes trying to hype myself up to just take a bite lol. My 3 year old said, “you got this mom,” so I had to do it. Turns out I really enjoy them! They remind me of tuna. Had them everyday since.
Hi from Portugal, the land of sardines!! Actually, that fluffy sardine can you have looks Portuguese. The man that thanked you for raising the sales might have been Portuguese!!
I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT YOU ON THE DIARY OF A CEO: MY FAVORITE GUY🙌🏽🙌🏽☀️. I’m on day 3 of the Sardines Diet to get my Ketones back on track! Two types of Sardines, 6 cans a day of the most delicious sardines, 1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Wild Pacific, Cleaned, Scale Free, Lightly Smoked & 2. Skinless/Boneless 100% Olive Oil Wild Caught & Sustainable. I feel GREAT, NOT RAVENOUS, NOT SUGAR CRAVED, CLEAR MIND😊😊 After losing 44lbs since May 2025 after medical emergency (intense migraines, tinnitus, vertigo, nausea) & the Steroids that ballooned my body, I had to regroup. Keto saved me! My bday in Nov. & the cake called my name YIKES, I celebrated me then I ate candy, then I drank juice over a 4 day period. I felt repulsed & a little sick, but the SARDINES BROUGHT ME BACK TO MY LEVEL HEADED BEST!!! Thank you so much… I’ve purchased your book. I’m a fan👍🏽. 30 more lbs & I’ll reach my sustainable goal. Any advice⁉️.
i noticed on the sardine fasting, it got cleaner and cleaner, its like all the dirty fuel got flushed out, just stick with it, you're feel cleaner and become a believer, cut back the carbs and sugars to the point you don't want them anymore, and oh, I start drinking my coffee black, later yall
Anyone notice her sardine pillow in the background 🐟 😂
When I was a little kid I refused to eat just about anything as I was the pickiest eater ever. … one day I was rummaging through the pantry and I saw a little can of sardines and back in the day they use to have a little metal key to open the can and it intrigued me. I asked Mom if I could open the can and eat them. She said “oh Tom, you don’t like to eat anything there’s no way you will like sardines” - I took that as a challenge and I opened the can and ate them and I loved them. My mom was shocked. Had quite a few as a child. Fast forward 50 years and I still eat them and recently did a 5 day sardine fast - lost 6 pounds and felt like a million bucks. 🙏🏻❤️ PS. I have they same sardine pillow that my wife bought me lol 😝
I didn't fast, I just started eating 1-2 cans sardines a day and my asthma went away that I've had for the last 6 months or so. Hoping I will eventually loose weight.
Eating 2 cans a day brought my A1C from 13 to 5.1.
Sardines have always been my quick, "go to" protein when I need something healthy and filling but I don't have time to cook.
