Update: As mentioned in some of the comments, you CAN actually save chats in Google's AI Studio. If you go to settings in the bottom-left of AI Studio, you can turn on "Autosaving." With this turned on, it will actually save previous chats. Thanks to those that pointed this out.
Interior designers are also in trouble with 4o. I asked GPT to remove all the furniture from my living room and give me an empty room, which it did. Then it continued to add different furniture stylings to help me make a decision. Mind is blown.
You can copy and paste a youtube video link directly into gemini and it will attach the video as context. You don't have to do the whole transcript thing anymore. You can ask questions directly about the video. You can even draw a rough sketch and ask it to show you when that was in the video and it'll give you a time stamp. It's super cool and rather impressive. I hope you show more of the multimodal aspects in future videos, because that's really where Google's Gemini shines right now.
The poor guy's mind is always blown.
Gemini 2.5 Pro not only tops the arena leaderboard by miles, it just topped the SimpleBench leaderboard by a long way, surpassing 50% for the first time. By almost every metric (including coding), it's the best model on the planet right now. Even if something surpasses Gemini 2.5 Pro, what this shows is that Google regrouped in a big way and is now able to push the boundaries of gen AI.
I've been using Gemini 2.5 all day and it's incredible. It immediately solved a coding problem that Claude had been struggling with (I'm sure ol' Claude would've gotten there eventually, bless his heart). Gemini absolutely nailed all the code stuff, though it did fall a little short on common sense--but that's AI for you. I'd be tempted to move over to Google AI Studio from my Claude Pro account if it had something equivalent to Claude's Projects. Gems isn't quite there yet (close tho).
12:20 You do have Gemini 2.5 on their Gemini chat platform but you only get it with their advanced subscription.
That's amazing. Every once in a while I see something that leaps the bounds and moves the goalposts of what is possible further on. Amazing.
The visual leap in AI-generated imagery is striking, what once felt experimental now looks production-ready. This recap nails the shift happening in real time.
