If you’re dealing with chronic disease symptoms, understanding the root cause is critical, but it’s often overlooked. One of the best ways to identify the root cause is to determine when your symptoms began, and what happened just before that. In 2017, more than 31 million people were diagnosed with hypertension overnight without any actual change in their blood pressure. Instead, the diagnostic definition of high blood pressure changed. Similar trends have occurred with cholesterol and diabetes. In 1988, an LDL level of 190 was considered normal. By 2001, that threshold had dropped to 130, and statin prescriptions doubled. The classification for high cholesterol dropped again in 2013. Prediabetes was also introduced as a diagnostic category, and today more than 115 million Americans have diabetes or prediabetes. Expanded diagnostic classifications have not translated into longer life expectancy. Chronically elevated insulin may be at the root of many chronic illnesses, and a high-carbohydrate diet can keep insulin levels elevated. Natural approaches and lifestyle factors are not always addressed when someone receives a chronic disease diagnosis. How is it possible to trust the med. schools, doctors and big Pharma when it's been set up for profit? Part of my story......it took 2 1/2 years, 5 scans, two biops and several doctors to finally figure out that at this point I had stage 4 tongue cancer. I feel blessed to be 7 years out of treatment.

Despite my perfect bloodwork and active lifestyle my primary care doctor of 25 years insisted I go on statins as a “preemptive measure”, just in case lol. I went to a new primary care doctor last month and the very first thing out of his mouth was to immediately get me started on antidepressants. This prevalent knee jerk reaction from the medical community to prescribe pharmaceutical drugs for literally no reason is disturbing.

Was diagnosed type two diabetes....asked my doctor is there anything I can do..he shook his head and said we can talk about it later....we didnt...I got worse for nxt 3 years...more meds gained weight etc..then determined to change started keto...lost 80 lbs...went back to doc he asked are you trying to lose weight? I was stunned at question...empathetic said yes and I belive my a1c is going to be better...it was big time 5.7...wow ..he was shocked said don't know what you're doing but keep it up...I then told him I was off all my meds...5 of them...and all my symptoms were gone...any doc who only treats the symptoms and not the cause is lacking

I've suspected going to the doctor was bad for general health.

5 years ago I quit my 35 year addiction to dr. Pepper and quit all sodas and went very low carb. Most of my issues are gone.

Big pharma, Big food, and a biased compromised health care system all working together to increase their profits and keep us on their drugs!😞

This really opened my eyes. How can millions of people suddenly be labeled as having a chronic disease without their health actually changing? Definitely worth discussing. 🤔
