6:50 Cassie and Carly, are you An Effective Team?
Sound design and music in this movie is one of the best Iโve ever seen.
Joseph Kosinski direct this movie. That same man direct F1 & Top Gun Maverick.
As an M83 fan since their first album in 2001 when they were pretty unknown, it was almost bizarre to find out they were doing the score for a Tom Cruise film. They absolutely aced it though & that main song featuring Susanne Sundfรธr's amazing vocals still gives me chills.
โF.U. Sally.โ Great line.
This one and "Edge of Tomorrow" are both really good Cruise Sci-Fi of his recent filmography
They didn't use green screens. They developed a projector system and projected the scenery onto screens while acting. The refections. In the glass in the tower were real reflections coming from the screens, which made them look so great. On blu-ray, included with the 'extras' are a lot of details on the making of this movie. The futuristic house actually DID exist -- it was built full-size on a sound stage. The pool was real and was about 3 - 4 m above the floor. This structure was surrounded 360 degrees with massive screens on which they projected the various skies, all of which were actually filmed from on top of a volcanic mountain in Hawaii. So those sunsets and sunrises were 100% real, from Hawaii, projected onto the screens totally surrounding the futuristic home in the clouds resulting in the incredibly real feeling effect. Even the helicopter-like aircraft used was built in real life -- it had all the moving parts, including the rotors, but it didn't actually fly -- it was attached to hydraulic arms to create all the flying scenes. The actress who played 'Jack Harper's' wife actually got sick in a few of the flying scenes as the hydraulic arms created far too realistic motion ... which was cool to learn about. I love that the narrator is Jack-52 (or Tech 52) Keep up the good work.
โBreathing fluidโ was also in The Abyss.
I suppose the real genius of this movie is when you watch it a second time with the knowledge of what is actually going on, it is almost like watching a completely different movie, and you watch the events unfold with a totally different perspective.
He liked being a pilot so much, that he made his license and for MI6 he got his helicopter license. This combined with crazy gun training for Collateral, he became more and more Ethan Hunt in real-life.
