Kari Morrissey is the human embodiment of “the limit does not exist.”
There comes a time when you have to leave your ego at the door and Kari can’t do that, sadly. Let it go is an important lesson to learn, one Lally and many other prosecutors need to.
I’m from Texas and all I can say about Kari Morrissey is, “ Bless her heart!”
Emily!! I thought of you today. I was on a jury today (on my birthday) and let me tell you!!! When y'all say "you never know when it comes to a jury"... That was our situation today. It. Was. Wild. Hardest thing in my life, but I was so thankful for the education that you, and all of law tube, gives us. I was able to intelligently go through the instructions and help in the process and I'm grateful for that. 🖤🖤🖤
19:25 Spiro's "Does she have an objection or is she just talking?" was very on-point.
While I really do feel for the victims' families, and victims of crimes more generally, it makes sense that the defendant's rights have to always be a priority. For the very simple reason of what if they're innocent? In any criminal case, I think people need to remember that defendants are presumed to be innocent - the idea isn't that a murderer has more rights. The idea is that a *presumably innocent* person is being accused of murder, and so their rights need to be protected
Re Kohberger case. Having been in the same situation as the parents of the victims of this case (not as a parent but as a sibling however) I have to say, it shocks me that the parents are given so much cache - despite them feeling they are being ignored. This seems to be an American thing. Where I come from no one gets to talk with abandon about a case yet to be determined. Let alone before a jury has been chosen. It's frustrating, but you have to trust in your judicial system (unless you're in Massachussets). I will miss Judge Judge...I think he is a very fair judge....and I'll miss saying Judge Judge.
How to prove true the Baldwin attorney’s opening statement that “prosecutors chased the shiny object” without admitting it? File two motions for reconsideration of a dismissal *with prejudice*.
Morrissey is going off the deep end! Evidence of her obsessive thirst for Baldwin! Love the coverage, Emily!
