Description

Editor-at-large of "Jewish Currents," who writes "The Beinart Notebook" on Substack, Peter Beinart sits down with Jon Stewart to discuss his book, "Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning," and speaking out against Israel. They talk about learning from Jewish history to be the saviors rather than the oppressors, America and the U.N.’s failure to hold Benjamin Netanyahu accountable, the urgency of engaging in critical discourse with other Jews, and how listening to Palestinian stories can illuminate the dehumanizing conditions. #DailyShow #Israel #Gaza #Palestine Subscribe to The Daily Show: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwWhs_6x42TyRM4Wstoq8HA/?sub_confirmation=1 Follow The Daily Show: Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheDailyShow Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thedailyshow Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thedailyshow Stream full episodes of The Daily Show on Paramount+: http://www.paramountplus.com/thedailyshow Follow Comedy Central: Twitter: https://twitter.com/ComedyCentral Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ComedyCentral Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/comedycentral About The Daily Show: Jon Stewart and The Best F**king News Team host The Daily Show, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program analyzing the biggest stories in news, politics, and culture through a sharp, satirical lens. there was a holocaust survivor who was protesting the genocide in gaza. i think his words were the most powerful when asked why he was protesting against israel, he said "never again, means never again... for ANYBODY."

I heard a story from a Dr in Gaza. He said he treated a little girl with shrapnel in both eyes, blinded. Her entire family was blown up and killed and she was orphaned. A little girl blind and orphaned. There will be so many tragic stories like this we have yet to hear.

“…those are the kind of people who would have stuck up for us.” That’s super powerful.

If the U.S stopped arming Israel, this genocide could stop tomorrow. Keep speaking up, you have the power.

Thank you for this. I was so proud of the many Australians who marched in protest at what was happening in Gaza. "Never again means never again for ANYBODY" < that says it all.
