How do we stop the resellers? Limit: 1 per customer
imagine a 5 year old was looking through for a box, turns around to see the pokémon military charging at him
You know how at the supermarket they put the milk and eggs at the furtherest point from the door? Costco should do the same with the Pokemon. Maybe set up hurdles and traps along the way to impede the mob. Then when they get to the register hit them with, "Sorry, limit of one per customer per day, we'll just take these off your hands and put them out later." just to watch them cry.
The closest we’ll ever get to old Black Friday
That is why a limit of 1 or 2 per person, especially on high demand products like Pokemon cards is very much necessary.
Solution: Limit one per customer. Customers may buy a 2nd product if they can pass 5 rounds of "Who's that Pokemon?"
My local comic book store sells these types of boxes and the owner who runs it has a strict policy of one per customer, though if someone is a known collector or a regular parent that he knows is getting for their kids he makes exceptions. If someone is obviously a scalper he just permabans them from his store outright, the dude has a wall of shame that’s been tripled in size since the quarantine caused a scalp-splosion in the trading card scene.
went in to my Costco yesterday expecting to find an empty ripped apart pallet but to my surprise they had blooming waters off the main floor with two workers guarding it, limit of 2 per customer, checking people out for it on a private register. Nice to see somebody actually do something about the scalping
Costco managers were told by corporate that it's limited to 2 per customer now
having to be told no running by the employees as an adult is just shameful 🤦♂️
