John Dupré argues that biology reveals a world defined less by fixed essences and more by evolving processes and continuous variability. Do living things possess stable underlying identities — or are they better understood as temporary patterns within ongoing biological processes?

With regard to continuous variability, you might also look to John Tower's proposed law of biology a la "Selectively Advantageous Instability" and as (Tower's theory) appears in a paper by Axenie (2025).

Philosophy of biology should look for soul-based solutions for life as such. Soul substance is very much required for biology.

Philosophy is a higher level of thinking, different from ordinary thinking. Philosophy operates with knowledge, while ordinary thinking is based on perception, personal experience and common sense. For example, in a forest fire, most people see only tragedy and loss, but philosophical biologists know that the soil requires minerals to nourish it and restore the forest's productivity.

There's a domain process in a system, initiating the activities, helping to develop the perception and mind for the visual connection for effective reproduction, the same in proliferation, categorize species in different many kinds and forms
