It's quite clear that Tig is uncomfortable talking about his abuse as a child. His courage to push through that is admirable. Thank you Shawn for creating the necessary environment for men like Tig to feel safe enough to unburden themselves in front of the world.
First “Oz” then “Tonto” and now finally “Tig”. These have been my favorite episodes of the SRS. A huge respect to you for allowing the truth to be told. And a huge respect to the GRS operators on 9/11/2012. Tyrone, Glen, Sean and ambassador Stevens can finally rest in peace finally knowing the truth is out there by the heroes who were next to them. Not some guy in a suit stateside who would rather save his own ass than acknowledge the death of 4 Americans
"oh you're a musician?" "honey I do music..." "right, you're a musician." "I'm not a magician or whatever the fuck you sayin', I do music." I wasn't expecting that reference here of all places lmfao.
Did anyone notice how the dog moved from Shawn over to Tig right around the time Tig was a little emotional? Animals are so amazing when it comes to things like that. Thank you for coming on Tig, I can't wait to go back and watch the Oz and Tanto interviews now
Hey John, it's Sledge. The welder I pulled out spent something like 9 months at Chicago Burn Center. He made it. We all did a great job that day. We all saved his life that day. We all know the cop in Kabul............... Semper Fidelis GySgt Ret
Tig, i know you probably won't read this. But i live in Colorado Springs. You might be the first person i ever vote for who makes me feel genuinely proud to exercise that right. God bless you sir.
Pedophilia incest sexual physical abuse is prevalent everywhere. Takes a lot of courage as adults to share your experiences and healing. Thank you for openly talking about this. God Bless you and keep you safe.
Making contractors buy their own flights home after surviving an attack, and defending the embassy and the annex...that's so pathetic.
Thank you, Tig. Some of your childhood stories were identical to mine. I had a priest take money from my abuser to try to make me confess I lied about it. I didn't break after 2 hours of threats, but I did tell everyone in my small town in detail. Pissed off my abuser and extended family. He was a Democrat politician in a small town, and I told his opponent everything too. I left home for college and then USAF. I never went back except to visit my Mom and my Dad's grave. Thanks for sharing.
I have even more respect for this man for talking about his abuse. That’s about the hardest thing for a tough guy to talk about.
