Is The Dyson Blow Dryer A Scam?

My wife conned me into getting her the Dyson unit a year or so back. She loves the thing! It has cut down her “getting ready” time to roughly half a day now 😂

I'm bald, but these videos are so good know I'm going to watch it anyway.

As a bald man, I had absolutly no reason to watch this video, yet i loved every second

One of my first jobs was a barber and hair stylist. The speed that you can dry a client greatly impacts how many cuts you can do in a day and how much money you can make. A lot of people want to buy the lightweight models but they just can't put as much heat into the hair. My favorite was a babylisspro ceramix xtreme dryer. Several managers tried to switch us over to lighter models but they didn't work nearly as fast even if they were slightly nicer to hold, you end up holding it much longer. And they were usually louder. The upper managers tried to switch us to cheaper ones and I had them come in and blow a customer dry with both options to prove that they were losing money buying the cheaper conair model. Also the barrel length isn't as important as you might think, most stylists hold the barrel not the handle because they are aiming downward most of the time. In fact they actually make handle less designs which are all barrel. One of the reasons the dyson/schrate design hasn't caught on with pro stylists. Running them for 5 minutes or so with a flir camera would be nice to see if any develop hot spots that could burn your fingers or neck when maneuvering them around. Thanks for the hard work! Here’s an idea. Since we are stuck with LED light bulbs, you could do a long term test to see which manufacturer has the most reliable bulbs. I have experienced too many LED bulbs that fail far too quickly. Project Farm is the man to help us with this.
