this isn’t the browser company video
Waiting for the Browser Company getting acquired by Atlassian video lol
To be fair, I would hate if Chrome is bought by Microsoft.
You would be surprised. Android is heavily designed to favor Google's commercial interests in ways that don't allow proper competition. Manufacturers that have a license to install Google Play Services are not allowed to release any devices without it. And most apps released on the Play Store will fail on such devices due to Google continuously creeping core OS features out of AOSP and into their proprietary frameworks. This obviously makes life harder for anyone trying to release a competing device using Android's open-source components.
Poor google with all their billions of dollars.
4:23 Not a billion+, 20 billions dollars a year to have Google as the default
Looks like in response to these remedies, the Google is locking down Android phones with GMS by enforcing "developer verification". They are focused on making anything non-Google wildly inconvenient on Android phones.
I do still hope someone manages to go after Chrome for Chromebooks. Specifically in relation to their mass investment into schools so that they can collect data on children.
Headline: “Google punished for monopoly power.” Subtext: “Google just got five fresh IPOs and regulatory cover for another decade.”
Love these type of videos. Its nice how theo sort of de-complicates things and compiles different sources and views into one 'thing'. Thanks for the great video 😁
