My biggest takeaway - "don't love your job, job your love"
Shaan needs to write a book on these topics. He’s killing it today.
You're not grinding, you're joy maxxing
The book “designing your life” written by those Stanford professors is really helpful on this topic too…just talks practically how u should be running lots of experiments to figure out if you actually like the day to day or calendar of these things you may think you want
Finding your loop is such a crazy true idea. I spent 12 years on the wrong loop. It took me a 2+ years walkabout to figure out my loop. The blisters were there all through the years but it wasn’t until I found a guy on YouTube doing my exact dream job that I realized it could be a job. Great episode.
my favorite is 'give a man a fire and he will be warm for the night, light a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life'
Great episode! You’ve unlocked a new way of thinking for me with the feedback loop. Makes sense why some things stick and others don’t.
Re: Rebecca Neumann. I think we need an entire episode on partner selection and the "person behind" the entrepreneur. I vividly remember this about the McDonald's founder as well.
Speaking of stacks...if I ran into you guys in a restaurant I'd ask for an updated Episode 366: The Body Stack. One of my favorites of all time and would love to hear what you guys are doing now
One of the best episodes. Wish I had these teaching 10 years ago! S
