The sheriff in the first story should have faced repercussions as well. He essentially enabled the behavior to continue for years after he was aware of it because he “didn’t believe” someone, until it was a good ole boy he knew that made the exact same accusation. Enabling abuse, and assaulting someone to protect that insane woman’s “honor” is crazy.

Story 2 really upsets me. A guy worked so hard to stay clean and improve his life and his bandmate goes ahead and ruins a bright future for him. It's super devastating.
