That was the most Viking season I’ve ever seen 😂
Sam Darnold to the Steelers, perfect fit to go from 10-7 to 9-8
Love how we went from Vikings fans crying about being disrespected all season long to "Will Sam be a starter next year?" lmao.
If you pay Darnold more than $30m, you are nuts. He is good enough, but these salaries are way too inflated, you need to be able to pay the rest of the team too
The Jets should check this guy out 💀
6 wins was the projection. This sucks but it was a fun season.
In what world is that a pass attempt from Stafford?! 😂
Darnold had a couple of rough games against some of the spiciest teams in the league in back to back weeks. The Lions are one of the top teams in the NFL and are currently Super Bowl favorites. The Rams have been very under the radar all season as they've battled through injuries to key starters, but they're getting just about everybody back and peaking at the right time. Darnold could have played better, gotten rid of the ball under pressure, scrambled out of the pocket, etc, these are all fair points. But the entire Vikings team got demolished against the Rams. His o-line completely collapsed on every other play, he got pressured on like half his dropbacks, and the Rams weren't even sending blitzes to do it, just 4-5 rushers on most of those plays. Meanwhile his receivers weren't really getting open, and his running backs barely had any production. Darnold got absolutely thrown to the wolves against LA, and everybody is blaming him for it. If you turn the clock back to week 17, I think THAT is the Sam Darnold we should be considering. He took a team that was projected as low as 4-13, where he wasn't even supposed to be the starter, and lead them to 14-3, putting up borderline MVP numbers through most of the season. It sucks that the Vikings collapsed, but I really don't think it was all Darnold's fault.
