I really think people just have nostalgia for a simpler time before the internet and everything wasn’t in your face 24/7
It’s difficult to pump gas without being bombarded with a loud, stupid ad on a tv that shouldn’t be there. I just want to be left alone, in peace for 3-5 minutes…but even that’s too much to ask.
I used to be nostalgic... those were the days
Corporations coming to the astounding revelation that people prefer for things to be nice, friendly, and human instead of cheap, cold, and soulless.
You know things are out of control when a commercial is interrupted for another commercial.
Everyone is nostalgic But some are correct in their nostalgia
It’s because everyone realizes either consciously or subconsciously that life was a million times better 30 years ago, in every way
I remember the library going computerized and an older woman complained she didn't want to be forced to use the computer. She knew intuitively she would be tracked, measured, owned. That was the problem, being tracked, profiled. No more personal anonymity.
The trouble with a lot of these streaming platforms is that they ban so many movies especially if the theme of the movies doesn’t cater to their ideologies.
Restaurants and fast food used to taste so good. And now it is gone to corporate profits.
