Power of Siberia 2. EU faces dark, EXPENSIVE energy future
Analyze Russia-China Power of Siberia 2 Deal and Europe's Permanent Energy Loss
Secure critical insight into how the finalized Power of Siberia 2 pipeline locks in massive, cheap, long-term energy for China, fundamentally shifting global power away from Europe's grasp.
Short Summary
- Russia and China finalized the Power of Siberia 2 (POS2) pipeline agreement, routing previously intended European gas supplies eastwards.
- This deal ensures China receives cheaper, reliable pipeline gas, while permanently closing the door for Europe to regain large-volume Russian pipeline imports.
- The shift solidifies a China-Russia energy complex, deepens European industrial decline due to high LNG costs, and invalidates Western sanctions premises.
The discussion analyzes the monumental implications of the recently ratified Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline deal between Russia and China. Speakers confirm that this agreement redirects substantial Arctic gas volumes away from the EU, cementing a binding, low-cost energy future for Asia and highlighting the irreversible economic damage already inflicted upon European industry.

As a Bulgarian I can tell you I was so hopeful and optimistic when we joined the EU in 2007... Now I wish it couldn't disband sooner...
Mongolia has only 3 million people. Their income will be boosted. Win Win.
European future isn’t dark, it’s expensive as hell. They will see their lifestyle decrease significantly in the next ten years.
The gas that was supposed to power European industries for the next half-century, will now power Chinese industry for the next half-century. Job well done queen Ursula! 😆
The EU brought this calamity on themselves.
"I'm not sure the people in Europe understand this..." We understand NOTHING !!! And the reality check gonna be epic and brutal...
We all knew that it would all end in tears for the coalition of the wilting 😢
As a Brit, someone that specializes in 5 and 10 year project. I can tell you, I would not advise any of my clients at the moment to invest in England, which is terrible for me because it affects my livelihood.
The old saying, "be careful what you ask for, you might get it" comes into play here.
