Andrew Tate is a symptom and outcome of many failures within modern society. He is not the cause nor the solution.

Louis, is there another ideology that promotes the whole multiple wives thing, controlling female sexuality etc.? Hint: Many of the men you mentioned in this podcast and that you spoke to follow it. What are the BBCs views on it?

I feel like the last 2 people I’ve seen trying to document the idea of the Manosphere made the same boomer mistake that everyone makes on these topics. Over complicates it, looks totally out of touch, comes to a conclusion first and back tracks from there to support the hypothesis by any means necessary. It’s like Ross Kemps documentary on Incel’s, except instead of accepting his hypothesis as wrong when he realises he fell for the media propaganda, these manosphere guys just do a paradigm shift and stick to their original hypothesis. It’s not complicated, Andrew Tate got popular for the same reason that everyone who says anything not woke gets popular. Media sensationalism has a habit of making their enemies popular when their original goal is to kill their social status

He makes a documentary about the "manosphere" and when asked, why do you think there is a gravitation towards that type of content instead of something else? Louise says, well that's not something I have studied. 🤦🏻‍♂️So basically you highlight a social phenomenon and get a documentary on Netflix, you mock it and all the people that follow it, without discussing the causal affects or engaging in the topic from a nuanced perspective. Perhaps if you addressed modern feminism and the manosphere as a tug-and- pull competition, then you may have been able to highlight why these symptoms arise and perhaps we could start addressing them constructively. As a man in my 30's I have lived my life both as a "beta" and "alpha". I grew up as a nerd until I was 16. Stayed in the school library and read books during lunch time with no friends. And when I was 16, the cool black kids in my class asked me to play football and turns out I was pretty good. In my 20's I played MTG with one group of friends and went out to the club with another. And honestly, I feel for the guys that suffer with social situations. And I totally get why the manosphere is such a draw to do many millions of young men. I don't think Louise did this documentary any justice. I don't think he is equipped to deal with the phycological and biological aspects of it. And instead he approached it from an "ideological" perspective. He chose to call it out because he is a "leftie" and that's it...

Disappointed right from the start by the way in which Louis sets out his reasons for delving into the 'Incel' world -- btw not even sure it is Incel as much as it should more rightly be referred to as 'manosphere'. He then 8:01 further sets out, and offers examples of the challenge of exposing 'the facts' as opposed to those that are factually incorrect, of course conveniently dodging other more commonly accepted factually incorrect facts, for example that a man can be a woman or vice versa. To that extent, the manosphere/Incel world are very much sticking to the biological and observable facts in a way popular culture has long since departed from the same.

"I was raised by a feminist mum and i cant wrap my head around..." That he can say before making a documentary. He says it afterwards and states he still has no understanding of the topic. Just sad

He observed but he doesn’t understand. It’s like watching docs on animals and they say why a creature does what it does as if they know what they are thinking and its interesting but not concrete.
