You pay for something and the company that sold it to you decides to downgrade your service in an opaque manner. Yeah, I can totally see why this pisses people off.

This would be like ford selling trucks that deactivate if the ford is delivering materials or workers to a chevy factory, this should be covered under anti-competitive practice laws.

Intentional degradation is evil. If they have to do that, they should just stop and have Fable say "This is a restricted area. I cannot manage this." At least that would be honest. It would also use a lot less compute.

Anthropic misleading paying customers basically seals the deal: the little guy is being boxed in while the big dogs get the real leverage. This is not just about limits on tools. It is about who controls access, who controls progress, and who controls the narrative.

Anthropic is so arrogant. Their models will be toilet paper in a year or two. If they want to poison their model, so you must behave to use it, let them. It just opens a giant opportunity for others to sell a model that does not do that. If only one company had all the AI, and no one else had it, this would be a problem, but there will always be someone ready to eat your lunch if you think you can stand alone.

It straight up terminates on development for mathematics if it is a novel approach or a custom notation. It only works with what it was trained on seemingly.

I left Claude over billing issues, almost went back, but not now. I just hope OpenAI doesn't do the same thing with gpt 5.6/6, because then the world really will be a dark place. I can still get the top opensource models to work in tandem and beat Claude 4.8/Gpt 5.5, but it is a hassle I don't really want to deal with if I don't have to.

😂😂 "these models are so good we can't let anyone use it for real besides ppl with vested interest in our IPO and it's for the public good not to line my pockets fr fr fr"

I'm working specifically on stuff to make sure unscrupulous vendors and insurance companies don't take advantage of people's healthcare because of AI, and Fable gets in my way with every third request

Sabotage seems like a decent response. Seriously. Giving major infrastructure companies like AWS, Microsoft, Google, and BT access to Mythos to scan, find, and patch bugs before an open-source equivalent drops while simultaneously sabotaging everyone else -- it's one of the only ways to gain a foothold in what will become a "patch or perish" paradigm where unpatched systems will be compromised within seconds by automated scanning bots.
