Yep! Mortgage rates are not that bad. What makes them bad is the ridiculous home prices that, at minimum, doubled. But everyone will continue talking about rates and ignore the inflation.

Implying privatization of Fannie Mae & Fannie Mac may reduce them taking on risky loans makes no sense seeing as when they were private before hand we saw them take enough risk to drive themselves into bankruptcy.
The homes are overpriced. Stubborn sellers are stuck in 2021.

Idk if anyone knows, but home inventory levels are back to pre pandemic levels in the US, and homes are still being listed, regardless of owners being locked in to low interest rates. We don’t have a constriction on inventory anymore, we have a restriction on cost. Considering the current economics, I’m curious to see what happens over the next few months.
