This One Shocking Stat Proves That The American Dream Is Dying | Ep. 1637
Alarming Decline of American Milestones, AI Therapy Critique, and Influencer Vanity
Discover the statistical collapse of traditional young adult milestones—marriage and homeownership—and examine why embracing external action beats narcissistic talk therapy.
Short Summary
- The estimated percentage of 30-year-olds who are both married and homeowners has plummeted from over 50% to just 15% since the 1950s.
- A survivor of a brutal attack demands accountability from judges who prematurely released her assailant, highlighting failures in current criminal justice priorities.
- Talk therapy often fails because it encourages narcissistic self-obsession; rejecting the urge to wallow in grievances by pursuing physical projects proves more effective.
- The cultural acceptance of mass elective self-exploitation via platforms like Only Fans represents a profound moral failure, not a matter of personal freedom.
This episode dissects alarming trends threatening the American social fabric, ranging from the housing crisis and cultural decay to critiques of the modern psychological industry. Readers will gain context on systemic failures underpinning the crumbling American dream, policy debates regarding housing incentives, and reasons to drastically reconsider traditional paths to mental wellness.

Large corporations should not be allowed to buy single family homes.
Ban corporations from owning single family houses
My wife and could've had a home by now if she worked, but we decided her being with the kids and us renting was better than our little ones being with strangers all day
The judges are pissing me off more than the criminals at this point.
When I was a college student in The early 2000s, a professor said that the federal government wants married homeowners because that means stability. Under the bathhouse Barry regime, that idea went out the window. They want us all single, in government housing and on the dole
Studies have shown that the more money you spend on the wedding, the more likely you are to get divorced
Knocked out cold. Eyes open. The crowd was cheering it on. So sick.
There are ENOUGH homes! The PROBLEM IS CORPORATIONS OWNING THEM ALL!!!!
I take photos of homes for real estate companies, and they own at least half the homes in every subdivision in my city. These companies are even building their own subdivisions. It's much, much worse than you know.
I believe Milton Friedman stated that open borders and a welfare state are mutually exclusive. You can pick one. Not both Smarter people have stated that neither is acceptable for a free people.
