Kilauea Volcano Erupts as Giant Storm Approaches the Islands... Ep.43 Begins!

They closed the entire park. We are getting plenty Tephra at our home near Volcano Village. The highway is closed from mile marker 23-40. They have opened some shelters and have some people on standby for evacuation. I just closed my window due to tephra blowing in. I can hear the fountaining as it blows at 1300 ft. High. This is a big one!!!!

Sometimes we just need to blow off steam !

It's nice to be at a point where I can see these events as happening for us rather than to us. Oddly, I wish I were in Hawaii for this! I lived there years ago when my daughter was born and until she was 4. I miss it.

Best current information on Big Island Video News which includes Civil Defense. Volcano Village evacuated and National Park closed. BE educated and aware about Vog, ashfall, Peles Hair, tephra, PM25, SO2. No tourist should go up there now. It is a mess. The roads are closed. Aloha from Hilo.
