The fees cost more than the actual ticket
I just haven't been going. I listen to their music at home.
Get rid of the Citizens United decision where corps can donate $millions$ to politics, and a lot of these problems would be solved eventually. It is not in the best interests of corporate politicians, regardless of party, to stick their necks out and cut off their money supply, and this affects not just the US.
Law has become lawless.
Pearl Jam spoke out against Ticketmaster way back in the 1990's. This may be why they never got to be as big as they could have been.
I’m in the UK, a few years ago a friend was coming to the UK with his wife, they wanted to go to a gig, as there address and cards were US based they couldn’t buy them, so they got r to buy them for them. When I told them the price they were shocked, the price for the tickets were less than what they would pay in the US for the booking fee, there was no booking fee in this case
Sad thing is once Ticketmaster dies another corporate entity will immediately replace them. Likely the same people.
Good luck those bastards are buried in like ticks.
Monopolies in any industry should be illegal! We need to get rid of monopolies, it's the one of the best way to lower prices!
I'm in Ontario, Canada. Just passed a law that tickets can't be resold on ticketmaster sites (stubhub and whatever else they own) for above face value. But I already see cracks in that law, because people will just sell on a site like facebook marketplace for triple the price and there will likely be alot more ticket scams than normal.
