Dr Jim Fan. https://x.com/DrJimFan/status/2005340845055340558 Been a bunch of chatter about how Groq employees make out in the Nvidia deal. Made some calls to find out. In short, very very well. I just fixed my SUV in an afternoon that had a really bad electrical problem. The wipers stayed on, headlights stayed on while the vehicle was running. The blinkers did not work either. I used Gemini 3 Pro and took photos under my dash and it literally looked at this huge rats nest of wires and told me exactly what to do, it was probably my most mind blowing experience yet. The fix was a shorted power wire (white with a pink stripe) and this wire was in a harness with about 25 other wires, freaking insane.

I was hired as a simple Linux administrator 6 years ago. I did some basic scripting in Bash for an old version of SUSE. Then the upgrade cycle happened. Last year, Claude helped us replace ~600 store servers by working with me to provide conversion code to VMs. Now, we are moving to a whole new POS system, and it has been instrumental in helping write code to PXE boot over 1500 registers - corporate wide, passing a security review just yesterday. I've gotten better at managing both my expectations, and how to maximize what Claude can do for us. At this point, you still need humans to review, and for now, I am that human.

Claude Code isn't writing itself. It is writing the code with instructions and supervision from a Senior Engineer like Boris. We are not there yet where we can let any LLM reign free... . yet

15:05 I actually dropped out of my computer science degree to do an internship at a startup that works entirely with cloud code, so I can learn the most important things from them and teach myself the rest cause I think thats way more efficient in modern times

So they bought out the people that made the company what it is instead of buying the company itself.
