Own a 2007 IS250 6 Speed MT over 100k miles. No issues. Silky smooth V6 with I4 power. Could use more power but it’s adequate. Not going to win any races in 2026. Just had a video into the engine block to check for carbon buildup. It was clean and mechanic didn’t recommend cleaning it. I asked for it to be cleaned regardless. Last carbon clean up was 4 years ago. Just have an Italian tune up past 6.5k rpm occasionally and oil changes every 3k miles (not 5k), carbon build up should not be a problem.
Friend had a 2007 LS. Crazy expensive repairs.
I just purchased one of the very last (if not THE very last) 2025 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance Premium in the entire nation. I took delivery on 2/12/26 and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. It was broken in properly with two oil changes the first 3000 miles. 472 naturally aspirated horsepower and in my honest opinion, it was the best money I ever spent, and I simply love it and plan on keeping it forever!😊
Hi I think you have little cold we hope you feel better as always honest and professional
Very helpful information!
Ask the owners of Tundra and Tacoma trucks that these recalls are just normal.
2009 IS250 with 225k. Bought it 2019 with 62k. Drove for rideshare company couple years at night. Basic maintenance and tires. Everything works perfectly. Interior and exterior beautiful condition. Use ATS oil additive before every change. Runs smoothly, dependable…. GREAT CAR! Your description of this car is complete opposite of my now almost seven year and 160k mileage experience.

I really appreciate your informative, interesting videos Mark,,it's a shame that Lexus has it's bugs and gremlins
@ECPP - I had cross shopped an IS 250 AWD and '07 G35x (AWD) back in 2007... I went with a fully loaded VQ35HR 2007 V36 Infiniti G35x. A solid car with not any external weep, seeps, or leaks anywhere on engine/transmission 19 years later. Engine doesn't use any oil either at 140k miles. Radar cruise and even the stock music ripper/nav hard drive still works. I really couldn't ask for better reliability in a vehicle with my G35x. I may have gone with an IS 350 in the day but AWD wasn't available on that model.
