When I was exhausted, and with small kids, I would lie facedown on the floor and they would run their little cars or critters all over my back and legs. They thought this was a blast and would create whole villages and storylines……while I rested 😂
Parenthood has many seasons. Sometimes it's really hard and overwhelming, and sometimes it's easy and a lot of fun.
Breathe. Dissociate. Take a beat. Pray. Re-engage. That's what good parents do all the time.

The part that is rough at first is dealing with screaming irrational infants/toddlers.
As a parent, the only this I wish for is to be a better parent.
There was a great Twilight Zone episode where a crook died and went to what he thought was heaven because he got everything he wanted without any challenge. It drove him crazy and ultimately he begged the angel to go to hell because he didn't belong. The "angel" asked him why he thought he was in heaven. In other words, he was in hell.
My sons laugher is the absolute best sound in the world.
The first real lesson you learn from parenthood is how self-centered we are.. its a focus shift, through surrender, its about shedding your past life of selfish living, and accepting the new life of servitude. Resistance is futile and harmful for kids.
My wife and I have a 5-year-old, 4-year-old, 2-year-old, and 1-month old. We really needed this video today.
