Remember when humans "read books"? Or "looked up words in the dictionary"? These are historical epochs.
Imagine having a lively debate with someone who uses the word "like' every other sentence.
It's lazy speech, pure and simple.
its an act of desperation. adults, mature teen, and sane people dont listen to MSM
I agree. People from long ago with barely a grade 4 education could be beautiful writers. Yet today we have university students who don't read.
We are devolving into a gutteral grunting language.
It's Orwellian. If we don't have the words, then we don't have the thoughts. But we still have thought crime!
That is sad and such a waste. As someone who isn't a native English speaker, one of the reasons that I always loved English is that it has a huge vocabulary. It simply has many more words than my own language, which means you can express more - and be more nuanced.
It sounds like the slang that Alex and his fellow troops were using in, "A Clockwork Orange"
All awards are nonsense now, praise is given to anyone, invisible art is rewarded...🙄
