Vikings fan here. We have to spend money in FA. We have 4 picks at the moment. To many holes in the IOL and the secondary. We have a good team that can get a lot better if we get the right veterans to fill those weak spots. 70mil in cap space. It's Mccarthys time. SKOL!

Financially it's the correct decision to move on and use their cap space to fill holes they have.
The risk is if JJ doesn’t succeed and Darnold does elsewhere, that front office are fired.
Perfectly said by Dan. “Vikings feel like they will be a better team with JJ McCarthy + FA spending $$”. That’s all it is. Is JJ better than Darnold right now? Maybe, maybe not. But an additional 30M of talent around him makes the team better overall.

We also lost our star Left Tackle which really killed us at the end of the season it wasn't all on Darnold. Our pass pro sucked at the end. I would rather see us pay a couple Guards, DT and DB's than pay Darnold though. Let McCarthy get rolling and build around the kid!
