'Arresting people in front of their kids"??? You mean ripping naked children out of bed, separating them from their families and zip tying them for hours. While filming it. They just did this in Chicago.
It is pretty pathetic that I haven't seen a single gang or drug ring arrested.
Fran is 100% right about the immigration process. It is a nightmare. My wife immigrated from Brazil and it's _nonstop_ paperwork and tens of thousands of dollars in lawyers fees. The immigrants working minimum wage jobs are literally not able to pay a lawyer to navigate this system, which REQUIRES a lawyer. What we need is complete immigration reform, not mass deportations.
They treat brown immigrants worse than yt PDFs.
Undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022. 96 BILLION.
Maybe it's just my experience growing up extremely poor, but I have never concerned myself with undocumented immigrants. I've lived around them all of my life. They are normal people, they work extra hard, they raise families and they don't do anything to anyone. I couldn't always understand them, but they never bothered me. My cousin married an undocumented immigrant when she was around 20. He was a great guy. I learned from him how difficult it was to escape a violent situation in your home country and assimilate in a community that speaks a different language and treats you poorly, but also how expensive it is to achieve citizenship. He always had to be careful because any interaction with authorities could mean that he'd be sent back and he wouldn't survive if he was. They eventually split up, unfortunately we lost contact. I sure hope he's doing okay today.
When Joe has Crowder or Shapiro on next he’ll do a total 180
My family arrived on a boat and with a name put down in a book and no TB. They got a handshake and a "good luck" and BAM, they became American. Make immigration easy.
Pathway to citizenship? ICE are literally arresting people at courthouses going through the correct process, effectively over-ruling the immigration judges orders. They are deporting people on work and student visas and even green cards.
I had a maternal grandmother from Montreal whose family migrated to the Bronx (I don't know why), worked for the American government during WW II, while her illegally-entered Irish husband (Canada) was in the army fighting in the South Pacific, after being naturalized as an American citizen in Tallahasse, Florida. She only discovered that she was an illegal immigrant when she was 81-years-old.
