This entry attempts to balance a fresh "legacy sequel" approach with the intense slasher tropes the franchise is known for, following Sidney Prescott’s daughter, Tatum, as she becomes the target of a reinvented masked killer. While the internet had some loud opinions on this one, we actually had a blast with it. Directed by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek, The Vampire Diaries, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Following), this installment brings back franchise veteran Neve Campbell (Scream 1996, Wild Things, The Craft, Skyscraper, Party of Five) to face off against the newest iteration of Ghostface. The cast features Courteney Cox (Friends, Scream 2, Cougar Town, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Masters of the Universe), alongside Isabel May (1883, Yellowstone, Young Sheldon, Run Hide Fight), and Joel McHale (Community, The Bear, Animal Control, Stargirl, The Soup).
